Overview
Working on a commercial building site. You will be operating a 20 tonne machine for 8 weeks and then the machine will be changed to 14 tonne. For this site you need to have a medical - fit to work, safety critical, etc. We can offer positions on the books (PAYE) or self employed (CIS)

Duties

• Operate excavators to perform digging, trenching, and grading tasks on construction sites.
• Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
• Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to understand project requirements and timelines.
• Maintain the excavator by performing routine inspections and minor repairs as needed.
• Follow all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others on site.
• Assist in the transportation of materials as required, including loading and unloading from lorries.

Requirements

• Need to have valid CPCS or NPORS.
• Proven experience operating excavators
• Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
• Ability to dig accurately according to project specifications while maintaining safety standards.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• A valid health and safety certification is an advantage but not mandatory; training can be provided.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: £20.00-£23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50 – 60 per week
