Overview
Working on a civil engineering site. You will be operating a 14 tonne machine. We can offer positions on the books (PAYE) or self employed (CIS)
Duties
- Operate excavators to perform digging, trenching, and grading tasks on construction sites.
- Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to understand project requirements and timelines.
- Maintain the excavator by performing routine inspections and minor repairs as needed.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others on site.
- Assist in the transportation of materials as required, including loading and unloading from lorries.
Requirements
- Need to have valid CPCS or NPORS.
- Proven experience operating excavators
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Ability to dig accurately according to project specifications while maintaining safety standards.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- A valid health and safety certification is an advantage but not mandatory; training can be provided.
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: £21.00-£23.00 per hour
