STAR Recruitment are excited to be working with a well known property company based in Edinburgh who are currently looking for a Property Manager to join their Edinburgh team.

This is an exciting role for someone who has good knowledge of factoring and facilities management, however will also need an understanding of the private sector lettings industry in Scotland as this role will be based within the Build to Rent team. With an ability to deal with investor clients, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient and effective management of mid market/intermediate rent and Build to Rent portfolios. 

Key Responsibilities include....

  • Ensuring 100% compliance with regulatory standards (including services outsourced to third party suppliers) 
  • Proactively managing vacant and occupied properties (both units and blocks) 
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships and communication with clients and residents 
  • Carrying out regular inspections – establishing property condition and identifying essential and optional repair and maintenance works - ensuring recommended works are actioned 
  • Instructing property and related repair, maintenance and, if required, improvement works 
  • Monitoring the performance of contractors and other third parties generally, to ensure completion on time and on budget – considering value for money and quality of service 
  • Developing maintenance plans and preparing notional budgets 
  • Reviewing and tendering contracts for routine/cyclical works 
  • Attending meetings as may be required from time to time in fulfilment of the Company's service obligations – including but not limited to internal meetings, fire officers, council officials, resident communities and client meetings 
  • Identifying and pursuing or referring new opportunities - mobilising and integrating new instructions 
  • Fulfilling any associated administrative tasks 

You will.......

  • Liaise closely with developer and investor clients as well as residents to ensure they receive the best possible service.
  • Work alongside colleagues and onsite staff, along with any third party suppliers
  • Primarily focus on the buildings and common areas to ensure they are safe, working efficiently and a working place to live.
  • Hold a full clean driving license.
  • Be willing to work towards ARLA qualification or hold this already
  • Have experience of managing administration.
  • Have experience in negotiation and conflict resolution
  • Have experience of managing client relationships.
  • Be customer focused 
  • Work collaboratively with strong communication skills
  • Be strong in planning, organisation and problem solving.
